Asanas off the Wall

There are many ways to use the wall in your yoga practice.  A wall can be one of the best yoga props to strengthen and/or assist your practice.  Typically, the wall is used to practice handstands as those can be scary practicing at first without the security of a wall behind you.  However, I have learned that the wall can be used to modify a series of other yoga postures, as well.  Here are some of my favorite poses to practice at the wall:

  • King Arthur’s Pose
  • L-Shaped Handstand
  • King Cobra (with shins up the wall)
