The Yoga Wheel

I bought a yoga wheel a couple of years ago thinking that it would add a lot to my yoga practice.  I did a post when I initially got it hopeful that I would really incorporate it in my practice.  I have found that it’s a fun little prop to have around, but through the years it hasn’t enhanced my practice in any significant way.  It has been useful when I want to do deep chest openers…the curve of the back molds to the wheel and allows that deeper opening that would be more difficult to achieve without it.  Aside from that, I haven’t used it much.  There are many tutorials out there about different poses to do on the wheel, but, in my experience, I’ve primarily found it to be most useful with the chest openers and that is the extent of it.  I just wanted to share my experience with the yoga wheel in case anyone is curious about adding it to their yoga practice. =)
